Nowadays such style of music as a rap gains popularity. Especially the youth is exposed to this tendency. Concerning this problem people divide on two categories - those who like rap music and those who are against this genre. I would like to express my opinion on this problem.

I consider that the rap music harms to teenagers. First of all, in the modern world there are no worthy performers of this genre. Ninety per cent of singers copy style and behavior of earlier famous rappers. Moreover, in rap music there are senseless texts which contain promotion of debauchery, drugs and violence. By this promotion the rap provokes youth to domestic and public violence, to intake alcohol and drugs since teenagers want to be similar to the idols.

But other people consider that rap music is good because the child is keen on something, some music and culture. I disagree with them as there are many other musical genres and hobbies in which the teenage child can be engaged.

There are more than one hundred various genres of music in the world. Firstly, you need to inculcate your child a love of beauty, to teach him to respect the classics. It seems to me that it is possible to choose something suitable from the huge amount of singers. Taking everything into account, I consider that rap has negative impact on modern teenagers. In our twenty first century it is possible to find replacement in other hobby or in an extensive choice of other musical genres.
