Nowadays we cannot imagine our live without travelling. It is always interesting to see other places, and discover new things. Some people prefer hitch-hiking as a way of travelling. Others think it is inconvenient and dangerous. Let us consider who is right.
I support the idea that this type of travelling is good. To begin with, hitch-hiking is for people who have not enough money. It is the best opportunity to get where they want to go for nothing. Moreover, people will not have to stay in a place they do not like. They can go on their trip and choose another destination. In addition, travelers will see a true life in all its richness. It is very exciting and romantic.
However, there are people who think that hitch-hiking is unsafe. Hitchhikers entirely depend on other people. They never know who will pick them up and what will happen. The others point out that it is uncomfortable not to eat and wash regularly. Besides, people believe that it is unreliable to stand on the roadside for hours waiting for a stranger.
But I cannot agree with them. Firstly, it is better to travel in a couple. It is safer and makes things easier. Secondly, if a person is sociable and talkative, he might be invited to people’s house and solve all his problems there. Finally, believe in luck! There are many kind people in the world.
All in all, it is up to one to decide which means of travelling he would prefer. To my mind, hitch-hiking is an interesting and exciting way of travelling. It is for brave and desperate.
