There are two opposite points of view on the problem of teen job. Some people claim that it can be of great benefit, while others argue that there are also negative consequences of teen employment.
In my view, it is valuable for a teenager to have work experience at an early age. Firstly, teenagers learn about responsibility. They need to get to work on time, perform their tasks perfectly. Moreover, by earning their money, teens will learn how to manage money. Young people understand that they cannot spend every single penny if they want to attain their particular goal. Furthermore, experience about the real work world is an eye opener for many teenagers. It shows them what life is and the requirements needed to maintain the lifestyle they so desire.
On the other hand, some people believe that teenagers will encounter many troubles if they work, fail at school or even worse quit school. They claim that teens need to focus solely on school and education to make it. Besides, balancing work and school can prove to be too much for any student and increase stress.
However, I cannot agree with this point of view, because a little hard work never hurt anyone. Teenagers learn to maintain a perfect balance between the work life and the study life. They realize that hard work is the key to success.
All in all, I believe that a teen job is a good experience that a teenager can hold as a foundation for his future. It is great to develop a hardworking attitude, independence, money management and time management skills.
