The Spanish work to live and the British live to work. Whose approach is more approved? What should people get from their jobs – money or satisfaction? That is the inevitable choice everyone must make.

As for me, I have chosen satisfaction. I strongly believe neither sum of money can make a person happy. It is a well-known fact that people spend almost all their life at work. The rest of it they discuss the job with colleagues, family, everyone who agrees to listen. If all your life is devoted to a hated profession what is the level and quality of such life? A poor guy gets annoyed, angry, starts quarrelling with dear people, finally, pays all the money he has earned in his disgusting job to psychologists, doctors and treatments. On the contrary, an enthusiastic professional enjoys his life, has high self-esteem, loves and is loved by plenty of people. Moreover, leathering away at the job one day he unexpectedly finds himself being famous, respected and prosperous.

However, some people consider that the only thing job must bring is loads of money. Firstly, they say, a hungry person works badly. Secondly, they add, it is quite an attractive idea to work hard a couple of decades, earn a lot, get retired and enjoy idleness for the rest of the life.

To my mind, such arguments are not convincing enough. To start with, a professional is always demanded, consequently, is never hungry. Also, it would be quite boring to live without a favourite job after getting retired.

To sum up, people who have a favourite job gain both satisfaction and money, which is, certainly, better than just money.
