Today people get informed about the world on the Web. However Internet can be dangerous as it can spread information that harms children and youth. Some people are afraid of Internet and blame it for all the problems. I fully disagree with it and would like to explain my opinion.
For modern people is hard to live without Internet. At first it is a fast and reliable way of communication. Secondly, Internet is a powerful source of information, ready to answer at any question. Third, Internet is an entertainment. Moreover, Internet provides jobs to many people.
However there are people who believe that Internet also provides dangerous content: pornography, spam, fraud. They think that it is the cause of Internet crime and suicide among teens. Some people think that Internet excludes family communication, causes compulsive gambling.
I do not agree with it. To prevent children be affected by the negative impact of Internet, you need to monitor their use of the global network, learn to choose the right site. Often teenagers and adults replace real communication by virtual. But the reason is not on Internet. If a person avoids contact with his family that might be he does not feel loved and needed in the family.
Thus, Internet has both positive and negative sides. But you cannot give up and blame it for all the problems. We must learn to filter the information as it can be found not only on Internet but also on television, on the street, at work, at school and even at home.
